agami

Mim's poem

Mamma hums a lullaby
to make you sleep li’l Mim
She sings of beautiful fairies
And brings them to your dream

A li’l fairy with a magic wand,
Dressed in a white gown
Looks as pretty as sweet Mim
On her golden crown.

The little fairy waves her wand
And utters a magic spell
Slowly Mim, falls asleep
On her warm cradle….

A good bye...

It has been five long years
Since I joined you.
Today when I look around
The known faces are few.

You showed me, in the outer world
How to take a leap,
You have even made the world,
Admire your leadership.

I was then a novice,
When you nurtured, cared me to
Grow as an individual.
A professional, I turned into.

Today with the new faces
Coming joining you…
Hope you flourish more & more
Reach a height new.

You entrenched your values in me
Which will guide me life long.
The bond that I share with you,
Over the years grew strong.

I’wd like you thank, you and all
For being my journey’s part
Wish you all a happy life
As I do depart.

I met new people, made good friends
Each has shaped my life.
Helped me sail through tough times
Taught me how to strive.

Good bye Infy, good bye friends
It’s time to move on.
But I’ll always cherish the moments
Spent as an Infoscion.

The nun..

She was dressed in a white gown
A cross laid on her chest
She belongs to a Mother’s house
The Almighty’s divine nest.
Her face had a tough look,
A strident voice she had
She couldn’t match the Mother’s grace
Though, in her habit-clad.

I moved to make a place for her
Just to sit and rest,
Thanking me she took the seat
The baby, then she caressed.
Softly humming a lullaby
To make her child sleep
Bearing all the trouble alone
A mother’s promise to keep.

She was going to present a retreat
Talk on the mercy of God.
But her conducts do not concur
With the holy Lord’s.
She was sitting next to me,
My co-passenger in train.
The people in the waiting-list
Were really travelling in pain.

She belongs to the Mother’s house
Sworn by the name of Lord
To serve people with love n’ care
Till she can afford.
But it seemed I affronted her
I caused her unease
Since I offered a space to the mother
And into the seat we squeeze.

A mother with her infant child
Holding in her arms
Pleading to the ticket checker
To get a berth confirmed.
But the train was all booked,
Running short of berth,
The TTE stood helpless
Her words were of no worth.

She has vowed to care for people,
Still she asked me to..
Not to allow any one
Our seat to squeeze into.
I didn’t reply to her words
And ignored what she said
Only thought, she must have
The lord offended!

She preaches on mercy of God
It’s her retreat’s part
But I wonder what she says,
Does she realize in heart?
